Nuts have been part of the natural human diet for many thousands if not millions of years. Nuts are highly nutritious and provide a lot of value in a small package.

But while eating nuts is generally healthy, it’s good to bear in mind that nuts are relatively laborious to collect in the wild. You certainly wouldn’t be eating 16oz. bags of them. A natural portion of nuts would be a small handful once or twice a day.

Don’t use almond meal or similar nut flours to bake “healthy” sweet treats. Almond meal in such large quantities is not really healthy and it just reinforces your addiction to sweets.
